Slam Dunk : conquer the Nation
Disclaimer : I do not own Slam Dunk; All credit goes to Takehiko Inoue for creating these amazing character and series.

Slam Dunk is a Japanes Anime by Takehiko Inoue. The story mainly revolved around Sakuragi Hanamichi, being very unpopular with girls, has been rejected by them fifty times. He enteringShohoku High school, he ws determined to win a girl’s heart. On the first day, a girl name Haruko Akagi asked him the question that will determine the path of his life and the ongoing of the story:"Do you like basketball?" Wanting to please and to "know" her, he complied to join the basketball team. High School life begins.................

This is the first time in the history of Shohoku to actually get pass the semifinals and enter the IH. Their dream of conquering Japan is more neared. The IH tournament took place in Hiroshima. Their first opponent was the 2nd representative from Aiwa called Toyotama. Their stategy was mainly fast and violent like a storm. Their Captain Minami Tsuyoshi had a nickname called "Ace Killer". In the match, Minami elbowed Rukawa's eye, intended to knock him out of the match. However, to everyone's surprise, and our delight, Rukawa returned to the court after his eye was patched. To add more amazement, he was able to get in the penalty shot with both of his eyes closed.
The second match was the moment they had all been waiting for, the match against last year's champion, Sannoh. Their ace, Eiji Sawakita is also the number one high school basketball player in Japan.
Shohoku was under a lot pressure since they are facing off with the champion which all consisted of really tall players. All the spectators at the stadium were there to cheer on Sannoh. At the beginning of the practice, Sakuragi jumped from the penalty line and lay in a dunk which amazed all the people. However, he said it was just his greetings to Sannoh and the spectators. On Sannoh's side, Eiji was sent forth to return the greeting but to no avail, his ball touched the hoop and was reflected out and embarrassed himself and the team. All throughout the first half, the scores were really near. Almost all teams were present to watch this spectacular match. By the end of the first half, Shohoku led by 2 points. There's this player in Sannoh who was 210cm and 130kg. Sakuragi was sent to block him. To the amazement of all, the 189cm 80kg red head monk was able to block him and prevent him from receiving the ball. Through this "big and heavy" player, Sakuragi lay in many points and showed his potential.
Since the beginning of the second half, the score of Shohoku was frozen. Sannoh scored 20 points consecutively. All the people included other teams and the spectators believed that there's no hope and shohoku is going to lose. Sakuragi was taken out at this time by Coach Anzai to watch the game. He said if you can grab the rebound before the opponents get them, then we will have twice the chance of catching up. When Sakuragi returned to the court, the score was 26 points apart. All thought Shohoku had lost, including the shohoku players, except the red-head monk. He climbed up to the reporters' table and proclaimed that he will beat Sannoh. With unbeatable flexibility and athletism, Sakuragi managed to snatch all the rebounds and lifted the spirit of the team. Most of the points were by Mitsui. Even if the shot didn't go in, there is always Sakuragi under the hoop to tip the ball in. It was this trust for teammates that keep the tired-out Mitsui going. Ever since Sakuragi's return, they had abridged the gap to only 8 points. However, Eiji isn't the No.1 player for nothing, he was heated up. With his advance skills, the gap was again widened to 19 points. Rukawa was a self-centered guy and he never passed the ball, but at the presense of such a challenge like Eiji, he smiled with passion flaming in his icy blue eyes. Rukawa's unbelievable passes again shortened the gap to 8 points. Eiji's opponent was no longer Rukawa since Sakuragi managed to make him foul. Although the gap was smaller now, but the time was running out, they can't manage to foul out any now. As Miyagi's ball is deflected by the captain of Sannoh, all hope seem lost as Sakuragi flying jump to the edge and deflected the ball in before he crashed the reporters' table. To everyone's surprise, he isn't injured and can still jump and hop. The reactions of the audiences began to change; some actually began cheering for Shohoku. However, Sakuragi was not uninjured; he stretched his muscle in the back. He was switched off. Rukawa's next 3 pointers shortened the gap to only 5 points. Sakuragi stands up and intends to return to the game since he was determined to win no matter what. With only 1:58 seconds left, every player is very tense. As Sakuragi blocked Sannoh's shot, the ball is passed from Miyagi to Mitsui for 3-point. As the ball left his hand, a Sannoh player crashed into Mitsui from a defense foul. As a result, Mitsui gain a penalty shot. The shot got in and they are ONLY 1 point behind.

The crud wavers, who would believe a type C team, would almost beat a type AA team. Would the history be changed? Once again the ball is deflected away by Sannou toward the foul line; Sakuragi again came to the rescue as the ball is inflected to Rukawa's hand. However, he once again worsens his back injury. As Rukawa's shot goes in, now Shohoku lead by 1 point and the crowd began to cheer for Shohoku as all people wait for the change of history. However, Eiji isn't good for fun. As the timer shows that only 23 second left of the match, Eiji lead the attack. Rukawa jumped over to block, but Eiji wait till Rukawa's block to move over, that's when he releases the ball. The swish of the net shatters many players' dream except for Sakuragi as he ran towards the opposite court. With only 9 second left on the timer, the ball is blocked to be pass to the opposite court and is still left in the hand of Akagi(I think). Rukawa came up as support and the ball is passed to him. With remarkable agility, he rapidly dribbles the ball across and break into the Sannoh's defense. However, all angles are deadly block as he sees Sakuragi standing at 45 degree.(the place where his jump shots goes in most often) With only 2 seconds left, he back passed the ball to Sakuragi. He demonstrated the most perfect jump shot. When the ball left his hand, the timer stopped. The winner of the match is left to be determine by the graceful flying ball. The crowd have forgot to breath as each watch with anticipation. The swish of the ball into the net resounds around the court shattering many's heart. At the same time promoting the Shohoku team to the next level as all players jump up in happiness.
Sakuragi did not join the team for the match against Aiwa because he was hospitalized. They lost since every player were weary out from yesterday's intense match against Sannoh.
As they returned back to Shohoku, Kogure and Akagi left the team in preparation for the college entrance exam. Miyagi succeeded Akagi and became the captain of the team. Haruko became Ayako's assistant. Rukawa was invited to join the All Japan Youth Training Camp. Sakuragi is in rehabilitation.

Sex and the City : Maybe Baby...?

Disclaimer: I do not own any rights to the source material to Sex and the City by Candace Bushnell, author of the books that the movies are based on.

It was the five words I never thought I’d hear Big say, “I think, I want kids”. It was a statement I never thought I’d hear come out of Big’s mouth, so I’d never even thought to comprehend the option. Big and I had always been clear that we did marriage our way. We’d always agreed to follow our own rules for marriage, we’d stuck to our personal mantra of ‘Me and you, just us two.’ It worked for us.

It wasn’t until we were lying in bed, and Big was snoring that I really stopped to think.
Perhaps this was something I’d always wanted but hadn’t realized. I didn’t know whether it was even possible, we both lead such busy lives. Big was about to launch his own company and my body clock was slowly but surely ticking. As the clock ticked to 2am, I felt my eye lids slowly growing heavier and I collapsed into a deep sleep.

Three days had past since Big had made his questionable statement and I was finally catching up with the girls. Samantha had just arrived back from a two week safari with Riccardo in the South African jungle. Charlotte had spent the weekend up in the Hamptons with Harry’s family, and Miranda had been on a short second honeymoon with Steve in celebration of their year together, post split.

As we all sat down to lunch I could tell everybody was bursting to talk about their own trips and that realistically no one would really want to talk about my dilemma. Charlotte, who had been disapproving but more importantly worried about the thought of a trip to Africa eagerly addressed Samantha, “So, how was it?”, “ladies let me tell you, there is nothing quite like waking up in a tent in the middle of Africa with the view of Riccardo’s...”, “Samantha!! Please, Lily and Rose are here!” Charlotte pleadingly interrupted, immediately regretting even asking.

I couldn’t keep it in any longer, I had to get to the point, “I’m really sorry to do this but Big wants kids.” I uncontrollably blurted out, “and I have no idea how I feel about it.” I finished with a sigh. “Carrie thats amazing!!” I think Charlotte was just glad for another topic, “Honey that’s great but what do you want?” asked Samantha. Miranda hadn’t even heard what I’d said. Ever since starting at her new job she’d become even more in love with work, which was great for her but meant she rarely looked up from her Blackberry.

“Well Miranda?” Samantha’s tolerance had been wearing with Miranda’s ‘barely even here’ attitude the past couple of months. “Sorry Carrie,” Miranda apologized, “what was it you were saying?”. “Oh no, it’s not a problem,” Samantha interrupted “Big wants to have kids.” “He what?”, I could tell that Miranda was shocked but also embarrassed for not hearing the first time.

“Yeah, well Big and I were having dinner the other night and it some how came up. I’d never expected to hear anything like that from him. What with the wedding and where we are in our lives. I just don’t know?” I could hear myself blabbering, it was a good thing the waiter had finally arrived to both save me, and take our order.

It had been a full hour and half, we had discussed multiple topics but we always seemed to find ourselves back on the baby issue. I could feel myself getting a strange nervous feeling in my stomach. I put it down to beginning to realize how I really felt, and perhaps Big wasn’t going to like it.
Leaving the restaurant we all said our goodbyes and started to venture off our separate ways. Just as I headed towards home Charlotte stopped me. “Look Carrie, I know this is completely your own decision and you shouldn’t let anyone except yourself influence such a big decision. I just thought I should tell you.” She paused cautiously, I could tell she was trying not to intrude. “Having children has been the most amazing and rewarding experience of my life, I never knew I could feel something so strong toward two little people. But I do want you to know, whatever you and Big choose I will support and respect.” I sighed, gave her a big hug, thanked her, then made my way home. With a quick detour into Barney’s on the way.

Five days had passed since Big had made his statement, neither of us had discussed it yet. I’d tried to bring it up but we’d both been so busy that the timing either hadn’t seemed right, or there just wasn’t enough time in the first place. As Big opened the door and ushered me through to the quiet restaurant on the corner of our block, I made a mental note that I wouldn’t allow either of us to sleep tonight until it had been discussed. Our meals came quickly, due to the weather it seemed to be a quiet night. Not long after finishing off my first glass of wine we were walking back to our apartment.

I snuggled into bed next to Big, wearing the mint green, silk pants and matching pajama shirt he had bought me on his last trip to Paris. I turned to the man who I loved so dearly. All it took was a proper look into his eyes for me to realize what I wanted. I wanted to spend the rest of my life with this man, I wanted to make him happy, and if trying for a child one way or another was what would make him happy. I was in.

Misaki glanced over at the ring that Usui had proposed to her with. A small smile had appeared on her face.

Later that evening

“Usui, where are we going?” Misaki asked
“It’s a surprise.” Usui replied as they walked along the busy street holding hands.
“Are we going to the maid café?” Misaki questioned.
As they walked passed the shops, many windows displayed signs saying Christmas was only a week away.
“Of course not” Usui stressed in a soft tone.
“Why are the lights are off? Should someone be inside? It is not open?” Misaki argued.
“My!, my!, Misaki is full of questions today.” Usui exclaimed.
Misaki blushed. “I’m sorry, I just feel I should study”
Usui sighed in reply, “The entrance examinations are over. We achieved Cambridge University entrance. It is time to relax, ok?”
Misaki accepted.
As they approached the maid café, Usui stopped and asked Misaki.
“I would like you to close your eyes”
Misaki half-jokingly accused Usui “Why? What are you going to do you perverted alien?”
“Are you really going to call me a perverted alien, I am your future husband” He replied in shock.
“Yes, not until you stop acting like one” Misaki stood her ground.
“Fine, just close your eyes then” Usui insisted. She complied.
Misaki disliked how Usui won many of their arguments. Although relationships occur positives and negatives, she felt that most aspects of their lives were negative. She worked many hours of the day and night. Overall 2nd place status in school did not seem to interest Usui as he was 1st place. She disapproved.
Usui rushed "Just hold on to my jacket please, since you cannot see you must listen to my alluring voice"
"ahh, okay" she could feel her face warm up.
Usui’s plan was going as he hoped.
Misaki heard bells jingle that she was familiar with as Usui opened a door.
“You can open your eyes now, Misa-chan" Usui yelled.
"SURPRISE! MISAKI-CHAN AND GOOD LUCK IN STUDYING ABROAD"
“W-w-what?” Her eyes swelled with tears.
Usui had planned a surprise farewell party for Misaki. Usui gathered all her work colleagues, friends and family. He set up balloons, food and a giant banner that said, “GOOD LUCK IN ENGLAND!”
Misaki was shocked “Thank you very much! Everyone.” she bowed to show her appreciation. Everyone cheered in gratitude for Usui and Misaki’s successful relationship. Although some people were sad to see them leave, they were glad the couple was successful.
The only person that was unhappy was Misaki’s father. When he returned from Japan, he attempted to create a family, but instead established his own family debt.
“Please Misaki, don’t leave” her father begged.
She stared at her father and replied. “I have my tickets and I leave in two weeks time”
Upon acknowledgement of her thoughts, he gave her his best wishes for her journey abroad. Misaki’s father felt ashamed for his efforts. He felt as if he was never a decent father. However he was still proud of his daughter therefore he persisted that she return and visit.
“Thank you father, I will try” She relieved.

Misaki thought that everything was perfect as the night went on. She was with people that love her; they wanted her to do her best. Everything was perfect. As the night went on, each person gave the couple their best wishes as they disappeared into the cold wintery night. The couple left the café for the manager to close up. The couple walked slowly towards Usui’s apartment. Their apartment she corrected herself their home. It is their home now.
Tora Igarashi finally saw Usui and Misaki walking towards Usui’s apartment. He let the window wind down automatically of his limo. His felt his heart ache. He wanted to be the one to hold Misaki’s hand; he wanted to be the one to be able to hold her the way Usui was able to. He felt a wave of jealously and anger takes over his body. He drew up the window; he grabbed the radio to communicate with Japan’s number one assassin.
“Do you see them?” he asked
“Rodger sir” he answered. “How shall I proceed? Over”
“As we agreed on the phone” he replied.
“Master Igarashi, you need to say over, once you finish speaking on the radio so I know you finished speaking. Over”
Tora can feel his rage bubbling like a volcanic that is about to explode.
“As we agreed on the phone…. Over” he said as he gritted his teeth.
“I understand Master Igarashi. Over”
Tora could see Misaki smiling. His heart jumped with glee. Ever since he knew of Misaki’s existence, she intrigued him. He came from a wealthy family; therefore, women always threw themselves on to him. However, Misaki was different.
“Let us go now Cedric” Ordered Tora

Tora heard someone fall to the ground.
“Usui?” he heard Misaki say.
“USUI!” she screamed into the silent night.

The Limo moved towards the Igarashi mansion.
“Of course Master Igarashi”

Evil Dead: Clean up on aisle 5

Disclaimer: I do not own any rights to the source material The Evil Dead: Army of darkness written by Sam Raimi and Ivan Raimi. This is taken from the final scene in Evil Dead: The army of darkness film. In this interpretation i have changed the point of view and amped up the violence factor. This story contains violence and offensive language.

I hope you who is about to read it enjoys it.

A light rain drifted from the dark grey afternoon sky as a man in a crumpled brown suit approached Stan through the chaos of cursing paramedics and the screaming wounded. Police cruisers and emergency vehicles surround the front of the S-mart shopping complex sealing it off from the public. The man in brown was homicide detective Daniel Gant. A craggy faced ten year veteran who had seen it all, but this incident left a bad taste in his mouth. Beneath the eaves of the shopping center Stan shivered under the rough blanket the paramedics had wrapped around him. He tried to make sense of what he had witnessed a few short moments ago. The tension still gripped him. Gant stopped and stared, "I'm detective Gant" he said abruptly as he flashed his badge, he then produced a pen and pad from his coat. "I just need you to tell me exactly what happened". Ice blue eyes locked onto Stan's soft featured face. ”Ok” Stan replied unsure of what to say. "So, what do you know about him?" Gant asked gesturing towards a blood spattered man being led to an unmarked car by two burly officers. He was heavily built with jet black hair and an odd prosthetic hand that looked like a gauntlet. "Who, Ash?"  Stan muttered, he ran his fingers nervously through thinning brown hair. "Well I started here about a week ago" revealing the trainee badge on his light blue S-mart smock. "So all I can really say is that he seemed normal” he paused. “Well, except for his hand". "Yes, I noticed" Gant stated “Alright, start from the top" Gant stared at Stan readying his pen for the onslaught. "Tell me everything ". Stan took a deep breath, exhaled sharply then began.

The store was in the midst of a blue light special that week; customers were milling about the main thoroughfare that ran from one end of the store to the other. In Stan’s area, the housewares section, they idly chatted while perusing the deals. Easy listening music wafted through the store giving a sense of being in a colossal, well lit elevator. That morning Stan had been given the task of restocking the personal grooming aisle. As he was placing electric razors on the shelf he turned to see Ash at the far end of the aisle nonchalantly talking to an elderly man, "why it's just to the right and two aisles over, sir" Ash said, pointing the way with his metal hand. "Thank you son" the elderly man replied. “Shop smart, shop s-mart" Ash finished and gave a wide grin. Stan felt it was just a bullshit cheesy line but Ash seemed to genuinely enjoy saying it, maybe just to bug customers he thought.

Stan placed the price on the finished display when he heard a sharp buzzing sound suddenly emanating from the overhead lighting, a cold sensation ran down his spine. He shuddered and looked around, just customers, and Ash, who now wore a look of dread concern. The lights flickered erratically. A bead of cold sweat formed on Stan’s brow, he turned to look down the aisle, when the lights flickered then dimmed. Suddenly a piercing scream was heard and then the sound of scrambling feet followed by a strange wet ripping noise, he stood bolt upright and saw customers in a frenzied scramble to get out, knocking over stands and crashing into one another in the flashing light. He felt a surge of panic as he saw Ash sprinting headlong towards sporting goods, instinctively he followed. Moving out of his aisle he stopped almost stumbling on a dismembered arm that lay on the floor, blood pooling around the stump. Retching from the smell of blood he then saw pieces of what looked to be torso. He moved behind the counter near Ash. "Godammed sonovabitch!" Ash exclaimed as he smashed open a cabinet containing hunting rifles. Seeing Stan, Ash yelled “watch the counter!” as he released a lever action rifle from the case. Stan did as he was told, his heart hammering in his chest as he poked his head over the counters edge to see a woman in the dim light. It looked like she was helping someone up. The lights flickered on and Stan saw the red meat dangling from her claw-like hands and the grimace on her contorted face. “Hey ugly! I’m afraid you will have to leave the store, Bitch!” Ash yelled. A hoarse inhuman scream came from the woman as she made to charge the counter, then an explosion. The lights flickered, the woman’s head vaporised as the bullet from Ash’s rifle found its mark. “Move!!” screamed Ash as he fired again. Stan couldn’t move, Ash grabbed him and hauled him up. “Get to the godammed exit!”  A figure rose up in front of the counter only to be cut down by Ash’s rifle. “Say hi to disco for me!” Ash bellowed at the now headless thing. Stan saw another, this time clearly, the face bloated and rotten, the features twisted into a terrible mask.  Ash fired again hitting it in the chest; it moved, only to receive another salvo to the gut nearly cutting it in two. Black blood sprayed everywhere.  The lights went out completely. The only sources of light were the muzzle flashes from the rifle and the faint glow from the distant exit. “Come on you Deadite Fuckers!” Ash thundered as he fired again. “The exit!” Ash yelled. Stan moved like never before while Ash decimated those creatures behind him. Just as he reached the door he heard a sound, a low guttural growl followed by “we will devour your soul”. The dull light from outside was a relief as he broke into the car park.

"That's about it, then you guys arrived, Holy shit". Stan said. Gant closed his notepad. "Ok, we are done for now" he said. Turning away Gant stopped as another officer approached him with a wild look in his eyes. He was shouting hysterically about a massacre happening all over town as gunshots and screams overtook his ranting’s. Everything went berserk. Hundreds of those things were now in the car park killing everything in their path. A car suddenly screeched to a halt in front of Gant and Stan. Ash was driving. “Get in or die! Your choice” He yelled. He had somehow subdued the officers and stolen their cruiser. Giving no thought to the situation they both sprang into the car as it sped off. Ash turned to his passengers “looks like this might be the end fellas” Grinning he turned back and drove.

To be continued?

The couple walked slowly towards Usui’s apartment. Their apartment she corrected herself Their home.
Tora Igarashi finally saw Usui and Misaki walking towards Usui’s apartment. His felt his heart ache. He wanted to be the one to hold Misaki’s hand; he wanted to be the one to be able to hold her the way Usui was able to.

Draft - Vince

Fanfic draft - Evil Dead: Clean up on aisle 5

opening: outside S-mart shopping complex, a huge white and blue monolith to consumerism,a light rain is falling, flashing red and blue reflects from the wet asphalt car-park that surrounds the building.

A number of black and white police cruisers are arranged outside the main entrance. Several uniformed police officers wearing high vis gear are cordoning off the front to keep out the curious group that always gathers at such sights.

A small crowd is gathering near the scene ready to see something gruesome, they anxiously bounce around on the balls of their feet ready to get a better look, waiting for the inevitable corpse on a gurney moment.

A man draped in a coat is being escorted to a cruiser by two detectives. From under the coat appears what looks like a metal hand.

Standing under the eaves outside, a plain clothes officer questions an S-mart employee about the days happenings.

Officer Gant: 'please repeat what you just said to me about the incident'

Nameless employee: 'Well, it sounds crazy i know, but i saw what i saw' he said staring at the metal handed man being led away.

Officer Gant: 'What do you know about that guy?'

N.E.: 'Who? Ash?, well i only started here about a week ago, so, all i can tell you is this, he seemed kinda normal, well, 'cept for his hand.'

N.E.: 'Just what's going to happen to him?'

Officer Gant: 'Dont worry about him, just go over the details again.'

N.E.: 'Alright, it all happened so fast...'

8:00 am

Welcome to s-mart - a cherry message to the shoppers emanates from the PA system. Standing by the housewares section is Ash Williams, floor manager and customer service representative chatting casually with customers as they pass by.

The fluro lights give off a dull reflection from Ash's prosthetic hand. Everyone who worked at s-mart had questions or theories about the hand but noone voiced them around Ash. It was said he was ex-military, that he had led men into combat, that he had killed before. Coupled with his usual gruff demeanor this made people more than a little wary of him.

However, he seemed  upbeat today, as if he knew something good was going to happen.

9:00 am

Milling around the specials section were two elderly customers who seemed to be somewhat confused about some pricing, Ash approaches and helps identify the pricing.

'Thank you'  they said in a rushed manner

'Groovy' he said back with a wide grin.

they wandered away giving backwards glances toward the man who pointed out the pricing with that strange metal hand.

10:00 am

In the employee break room staff members are reclining in chairs enjoying the first (or second/third) coffee of the day. Another crushed coffee tin lies in the trash can. Ash tried opening another one, just like the other ones.

11:00 am

This is just the start will be updated and expanded, feel free to leave comments :)
